Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. She spent the majority of her childhood listening to classical music, boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic music and old classical pieces. Ana is passionate about tangos and opera, and all dramatic performances. Following her singing lessons with mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. When she moved in the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she moved to southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. She has been involved with a number of local organizations and is a teacher and performer because of her passion of music and art. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor of The Performance Loft. Ana thank the Inland Master Chorale for their permission to play classic Latin American song.
